Ping FederateMFASAMLRSA SecurID

!The Challenge

Kaiser Permanente was running outdated Ping Infrastructure (v6.x) that could not support modern federation requirements. Third-party application integrations were limited, and there was no centralized MFA solution across the enterprise.

The Solution

Led the end-to-end upgrade of Ping Infrastructure from v6.x to v8.3 with zero downtime. Established both IDP and SP connections with third-party applications. Integrated RSA SecurID-based MFA across critical applications and implemented SAML-based federation using Ping Federate.

Key Results

Successful upgrade from Ping v6.x to v8.3 with zero production downtime
Established 20+ IDP/SP connections with third-party applications
MFA adoption across all critical healthcare applications
Reduced authentication-related support tickets by 35%
Comprehensive SAML assertion testing ensuring 99.9% federation reliability
